Comfort face

The base of the Excel bed is made up of a system of springs and a multitude of layers of various natural materials.

Composition:
– 1 layer of extremely durable virgin cotton quilted fabric.
– 2 layers of cotton and wool.
– 1 layer of hand-crumpled horsehair.
– 1 13 cm high pocket spring system with individually acting springs.
– 4 reinforced corner springs (covered in very soft linen), ensuring comfort and stability when you sit on the edge of the bed.
– Reinforced edge springs along all sides to prevent you from falling out of bed and make it easier to get up.
– 2 layers of linen to insulate against noise and static electricity.
– 1 Bonnell spring system, 13 cm high, with machine-twisted coil springs.
– 1 frame in solid, slow-growing Swedish pine with finger joints, 16.8 cm high.
– 1 layer of cotton lining to protect the bed from underneath.
– At least 4 sturdy feet, recessed to prevent you from stubbing your toes.

Technical faces

A whole world of bed-making art lies beneath the surface of the Excel: a system of springs, 18 layers of carefully selected natural materials joined together, all resting on a sturdy bed. As with any work of art, the frame makes all the difference. The Excel’s frame is made from pine from northern Sweden, which grows particularly slowly and is therefore very dense.

Finishes

Choose the degree of firmness: soft, medium, firm or extra-firm.
Adjust the length and width in 0.5 cm increments (the maximum size is 400 cm). For widths greater than 210 cm, the base will be divided in two. The Excel bed is available in square, rectangular or round shapes.
